ECOPTINE – Energy aCcumulation to OPtimize electrical Traction Infrastructure Efficiency
Researcher: Laurent Catoire
The framework of this study is the application of energy storage in traction systems. A stationary energy storage system will be installed. The objective of the project consists in developing a control strategy of this storage device to improve the energy efficiency in electrical railway systems and limit the voltage variations on the catenary lines.
This work is supported by the Walloon region (Pole Logistics in Wallonia – Plan Marshall) under the project Ecoptine – Energy aCcumulation to OPtimize electrical Traction INfrastructure Efficiency.
